Conservation Kids
Conservation Kids is a program developed by Five Rivers MetroParks, that aims to build confidence and leadership skills in today's youth, and empower them to advocate for conservation amongst their peers. This is a four-step progression, beginning with discovering nature while fighting psychological barriers, and ending with youth building 'Conservation Parties' for their peers. Typically, graduates of the program become official volunteers, donating their time at programs and helping other kids along their journey. Conservation Kids is an icon of participatory education.
